Junior Academy
WHO:
- The program is designed for boys and girls who are in 1st and 2nd Grade
- The players practice in skill-appropriate groups either twice or three times a week
- Boys and girls play separately at this age.
WHAT: 8 week 1 hour sessions
- 2 seasons: Fall and Spring (separate registration)
- Saturday 10:15-11:15am at Morehouse Farm Park
- Tuesdays at 3:15-4:15pm at South House Fields
- Optional Friday 3:15-4:15pm at South House Fields
PRACTICES:
- Location: Practices will be held at the South House Field adjacent to Hurlbutt Elementary. Saturday Scrimmages will be held at Morehouse Farm Park. More specific field locations will be sent by email before the season starts and/or posted each week at the Morehouse shed. Entrance to park is located on Rt 53 just across from Valley Forge Road.

PRACTICE FOCUS:
- Teaching basic skills, creativity and team participation
- To provide every child with a terrific experience in learning and playing soccer
- Building a comprehensive and identifiable skill set
- Includes drills and games
GAMES:
- Saturday mornings. The program consists of 8 sessions.
- Typically, each team will have approximately 30 minutes of fun drills and instruction by the professional coach, followed by small-sided games.
- Parent volunteers are present to assist the professional coaches.
- The Saturday morning games are not a drop-off program. A parent, or guardian who is at least 18 years old, must remain at the field.
- Location: Morehouse Farm Park on Field Area #1 and #2. More specific field locations will be sent by email before the season starts and/or posted each week at the Morehouse shed.
REGISTRATION:
- Registration is online only and is a 2-step process: Registration and Payment
- Both steps must be completed for your child to be placed on a team.
- Please be sure to provide cell phone numbers for use on the emergency contact list kept at practices.
UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT:
- Weston Soccer Club reversible jerseys are worn during all Saturday games, but are not necessary at practices
- Jerseys are ordered during the registration process and picked up at the registration table during the first session. (You do not need to purchase a new jersey if your child has one from a prior season)
- Players must wear cleats, shin guards, bring #3 ball (labeled clearly with player's name on it) and water.
- Players must remove all jewelry including watches, necklaces and bracelets
VOLUNTEERS:
"Practice Parents" are present for each boys and girls practice. They are there to assist with any bumps or scrapes that may occur during the practice. They have an emergency contact list, should it be required.
